Hakuna Matata

26th April 2014

The puppeteers were amazing; you forgot the actors were even there because of the way the puppets moved so elegantly and smoothly around the stage. The cast was enjoying the show, and it came through in their acting, singing, and dancing the energy and everything down to an eyebrow raise yes scar I'm looking at you. They worked well as a cast to make the show the best they could. Nobody stood out for any negative reasons and that's what made it even better because they all got a moment to shine where they stood out because of their portrayal of the character with a simple movement of the head or the puppet's arm.

The characters reflected the Disney we all know and love and yet had a bit of uniqueness that they had added within the characters on their own development journey, they brought the whole "Circle of Life" to life right in the theatre. Of course, all the music helped because who wouldn't want to "be prepared" for Simba's I can't wait to be king".Link to Broadway soundtrack

If you have the chance to see these amazing costumes on stage in front of you, go do it because trust me the details in the costume were just on point.

Have you see The Lion King in a theatre let me know. Or are you planning on seeing it
